Tradify already sends invoices, bills, customers and suppliers to Xero, QuickBooks Online and MYOB through its own built-in integrations. We make sure that is set up properly first: tax codes, account codes and customer matching.
Where the built-in sync does not cover how you bill, such as progress claims reported against the quote or a second set of books, we work from Tradify job and invoice exports and reconcile them against accounting.
Xero users get two-way customer and supplier sync from Tradify itself. For a CRM (customer relationship management system) or any other system, customer lists are exported from Tradify, matched and loaded.
Going the other way, new customers and sites from your CRM or a spreadsheet are cleaned and shaped into files Tradify imports in one go.
Supplier price files arrive in every layout imaginable. We reshape them each month into the exact format the Tradify price list import expects, so hundreds of items update in one import instead of an afternoon of typing.

Get a fixed-price scopeThird party and external system integration for Tradify usually means one of these: ServiceM8, simPRO, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Deputy, Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks. Most of it comes down to timesheets into payroll, job margin reporting and supplier pricing. Tradify has no public API, so we link it to them through its built-in integrations, reports, exports and imports rather than a live two-way sync. If your second system is not listed, ask, and we will tell you plainly what is possible without an API.
You cannot get one the way you can for some other platforms. Tradify has no self-serve developer portal, no published API documentation and no API key in its settings. Deeper access is only arranged by contacting Tradify support or your account manager, it is decided case by case, and it is not guaranteed. If you want to apply, we can help you set out what data you need and why. In the meantime, most connections can be built on Tradify reports and exports. Tradify does not publish API documentation or an endpoint reference. Any documentation would come from Tradify directly, if it grants your business API access. Before that, the reliable way to know what can be connected is to look at what the Tradify reports and exports actually contain, which we can do with you on a short call.

Tradify already connects to them itself, through built-in integrations with Xero, QuickBooks Online, MYOB AccountRight and MYOB Essentials. We make sure that is set up properly first. Custom work covers what those integrations do not reach: payroll, reporting, supplier pricing and systems outside accounting.
Often you do not. The built-in Xero integration is a two-way sync covering invoices, bills, customers and suppliers, and for many trade businesses it is enough. Custom work makes sense when data needs to go somewhere Tradify does not connect to, such as payroll or a combined dashboard, or when figures from several systems need checking against each other.
About 4 to 8 weeks for most builds. Simpler invoice-only setups can be faster. Complex multi-system projects (Tradify, accounting, payroll, reporting) run 8 to 12 weeks, delivered in phases.
Partly. Staged billing is set up in Tradify, and the invoices reach accounting through its built-in integration. What we add is the reporting across both: progress claimed against the quoted value, retention held, and what is left to bill on each job, built from Tradify job and invoice exports.

No. Tradify has no Zapier app, no public API and no documented webhooks, so Zapier has nothing to connect to directly. Zapier can move Tradify export files once they are saved to a folder, which suits low-stakes jobs. Our Tradify and Zapier article covers the options and where each falls short.
