Power BI Dashboards That Connect Your Entire Business
Pull live data from your accounting software, CRM, POS, job management and inventory systems into Power BI dashboards your team actually uses. One view. Real-time.
Perth-based. Australia-wide. Fixed-price dashboard builds.
Power BI Dashboards That Work
Your business runs on MYOB, simPRO, Shopify, HubSpot — maybe all of them. Each system has its own reports, and none of them talk to each other. So your team builds the big-picture view manually. Spreadsheets. Exports. Copy-paste. Every week.
We build Power BI dashboards that pull live data from your operational platforms and present it in views built for the people who actually need to make decisions. Not a generic template — your data, your metrics, your layout.
HELLO PEOPLE is a Perth-based software consultancy. We connect your business systems to Power BI so you stop guessing and start seeing what is actually happening.
What we hear from business owners
If your team spends more time building reports than reading them, you already know these problems.
Reports built from screenshots and spreadsheets
Your weekly board report is assembled from six different exports, pasted into Excel, reformatted, and emailed as a PDF. By the time it arrives, the data is already old.
Everyone has a different version of the numbers
Sales pulls a report from the CRM. Finance pulls one from the accounting tool. Operations exports from the job system. None of them match, and meetings turn into arguments about data.
Reporting takes too long to be useful
Your team can answer "how did last month go?" but not "how are we tracking right now?" Decisions are made on gut feel because real-time data is not accessible.
Built-in reports have limits
MYOB, Xero, simPRO — they all have reports, but none of them can combine data across multiple systems. You cannot see job profitability alongside cash flow and payroll costs in one view.
Manual KPI tracking in spreadsheets
Someone spends Friday afternoon updating the KPI tracker. Pulling numbers from three systems, pasting them into cells, double-checking formulas. By Monday, some of it has already changed.
No visibility for the right people
The business owner wants a high-level view. The operations manager wants job detail. The finance team wants debtor ageing. Nobody has a dashboard built for what they actually need to see.

Power BI Dashboard Types
Different data, different dashboards. Pick a tab to see how we approach each type of reporting.
Accounting data visualisation
Connect MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks or NetSuite to Power BI. Revenue, expenses, debtors, creditors, cash flow and BAS prep — all live, all visual, all in one place.
Drill from summary to detail. Click a revenue number and see which invoices make it up. Click a debtor and see their aging profile.
For business owners and finance teams who want financial visibility that goes beyond what the accounting software provides.
Operational reporting and KPIs
Pull live data from simPRO, ServiceM8, Tradify, Monday.com or your job management platform. Job status, crew utilisation, WIP, completion rates — visible across the business.
Combine operational data with financial data so you see not just what jobs are running, but whether they are making money.
Built for trades, field service, professional services and any business where job-level visibility drives better decisions.
Sales pipeline and CRM analytics
HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Zoho CRM — pipeline value, conversion rates, deal velocity, lead source analysis. Combined with revenue data from accounting so you see which deals are actually profitable after delivery.
Attribution reporting that connects marketing spend to closed revenue. Not just leads generated — actual money earned.
Good for sales-driven businesses that need visibility beyond what the CRM's built-in reports offer.
eCommerce performance dashboards
Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce — orders, revenue, average order value, customer retention, product performance. Combined with advertising spend data for true ROI visibility.
Inventory turnover, stockout frequency, margin by product category — the analytics your eCommerce platform shows you, plus the financial reality it cannot.
For online retailers and multi-channel sellers who need to see performance across platforms in one view.
Workforce and payroll dashboards
Headcount, labour costs, overtime trends, leave balances, utilisation rates — drawn from Deputy, Employment Hero, MYOB Payroll or your rostering platform.
Combine workforce data with revenue to calculate revenue per employee, cost per job hour, or payroll as a percentage of turnover.
Useful for businesses with shift workers, seasonal staff or field teams where labour cost visibility drives profitability.
Inventory and supply chain reporting
Stock levels, reorder points, supplier lead times, warehouse throughput — from Cin7, Unleashed, DEAR Systems or your WMS. Combined with sales data to model demand.
Ageing stock reports, dead stock identification, turnover by SKU — the information your ops team needs to make better purchasing decisions.
For product businesses managing stock across multiple locations, warehouses or sales channels.
Custom data models and calculated metrics
Not every metric exists in a single system. Job profitability needs data from three platforms. Customer lifetime value needs sales, support and billing data combined.
We build the data models in Power BI that calculate the metrics your business actually cares about — not just what the source systems provide natively.
For businesses that need bespoke KPIs and calculated measures that no out-of-the-box report can provide.
All your data in one live dashboard
Financial data from your accounting software, job data from your operational platform, sales pipeline from your CRM, staff costs from payroll — all visible in Power BI. Live. Not last Tuesday.
When the numbers come from one place, meetings are about decisions, not about whose spreadsheet is right.
Real-time or near-real-time reporting
Scheduled refreshes throughout the day — or real-time streaming for critical metrics. Your dashboard shows what is happening now, not what happened last week.
Cash position, outstanding invoices, job WIP, sales pipeline — visible at any moment without asking someone to run a report.
How we price Power BI projects
Dashboard complexity and data source count are the main drivers. Here is how we approach pricing.

Fixed-price dashboard builds
Each dashboard or report is scoped and quoted at a fixed price. You know the cost before we start. Complex multi-source builds are quoted per phase.
Monthly managed reporting
Ongoing support, new report requests, data source changes and refresh schedule management under a monthly plan.
AI-powered document processing that cut manual work by 85%
We helped an Australian insurance firm replace hours of manual data entry with an intelligent processing pipeline. Invoices, claims, and supporting documents now flow straight into their systems — accurately and automatically.

From messy data to clear dashboards
A structured approach to building Power BI reporting that people actually use.
Why HELLO PEOPLE for integrations
We build, not just connect
We write proper integration code — API connections, data mapping, error handling, logging. Not Zapier chains that break quietly.
Fixed-price quoting
You get a clear price before we start. No hourly billing that spirals. No surprise invoices at the end of the month.
Built for Australian business
We understand BAS, GST, super, award rates, Australian privacy law, and the platforms local businesses actually use.
Senior team, direct access
You talk to the people building your integration. No account managers, no offshore handoffs, no ticket queues.
Ongoing support included
APIs change. Platforms update. We monitor, maintain, and evolve your integration so it keeps working as your business grows.
We used to spend Friday afternoons building the weekly report. Now it builds itself. And it is better than what we were producing manually — live data, drill-down, and everyone sees the same numbers.
Power BI dashboards by industry
Every industry has different metrics that matter. We build dashboards tailored to what your business actually needs to track.
Trades & Field Service
Job profitability, WIP, crew utilisation and debtor ageing — combined from simPRO or ServiceM8 and your accounting software into one operations dashboard.
Retail & eCommerce
Revenue by channel, product performance, inventory turnover and customer acquisition cost — from Shopify, your POS and accounting combined.
Professional Services
Utilisation rates, project profitability, pipeline vs capacity, and revenue per consultant — combining time tracking, CRM and accounting data.
Manufacturing
Production output, defect rates, material costs and machine utilisation — combined with financial data for a complete operational picture.
Hospitality
Revenue per cover, labour cost percentage, food cost ratios, and sales by period — from POS, payroll and accounting combined into one venue dashboard.
Franchise & Multi-Site
Per-location performance, benchmarking across sites, and group-level consolidation — with row-level security so each location only sees their own data.
Common questions about Power BI dashboards
Can Power BI connect to MYOB or Xero?
Yes. We build custom connectors or use the platform APIs to feed live financial data into Power BI. Revenue, expenses, debtor ageing, creditor balances, cash flow — all available for dashboarding and reporting.
Do we need Power BI Pro or Premium?
For most small to mid-size businesses, Power BI Pro is sufficient. If you need high-frequency refreshes, large datasets, or embedded reporting for external teams, Premium capacity may be needed. We advise on licensing during scoping.
How much does a Power BI dashboard project cost?
A single dashboard connecting one or two data sources typically runs $5,000 to $12,000. A full suite of dashboards across multiple departments with complex data models usually falls between $15,000 and $35,000. We quote fixed price after scoping.
How often does the data refresh?
It depends on the plan and data source. Most Power BI Pro dashboards refresh 8 times per day. Premium allows up to 48 refreshes. For real-time needs, we use streaming datasets or DirectQuery mode.
Can you connect Power BI to our simPRO or ServiceM8 data?
Yes. We pull data from simPRO, ServiceM8, Tradify and other job platforms via their APIs. Job status, job costing, timesheet data, customer records — all available in Power BI.
Can different people see different data?
Yes. Power BI row-level security lets you control exactly who sees what. Branch managers see their branch. Franchise owners see their location. The group CEO sees everything. We configure this during build.
Do you support ongoing changes and new reports?
Yes. Most clients are on a monthly managed plan. New report requests, data source changes, filter additions, calculated metric changes — we handle it all.
Our data is messy. Can you still build dashboards?
Yes — but we may recommend a data cleanup or transformation layer first. Power BI reports are only as good as the data feeding them. We will be honest about whether the source data needs attention before we build visuals on top of it.
