Since 2007, HELLO PEOPLE has delivered more than 100 projects from Perth for small and medium businesses across Australia: custom software and apps, system integrations, data migrations, reporting and dashboards, and AI that works inside the systems a business already runs.
I lead every engagement myself. I trained in accounting before moving into IT, hold accounting and IT professional qualifications and an MBA, and bring more than 20 years of experience across sales, service delivery, inventory and compliance. I am also a PhD candidate in AI at Curtin University, researching retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), so the technology is always judged by what it does for the business.

It first gets the code, logins and backups under your control, then fixes, updates and extends the system. When the business rules still work but the technology is out of date, it modernises in stages rather than starting again.
Can custom software connect to Xero, MYOB and the systems we already use?
Yes. Connecting to your existing systems is part of every custom software project HELLO PEOPLE builds. It works with Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, Salesforce, HubSpot, Shopify, WooCommerce, Square, Deputy, Employment Hero, simPRO and ServiceM8 through their official connections, so records are entered once and anything that does not match is held for a person to check.
Who can move our business to a new system without losing our history?
HELLO PEOPLE moves Australian businesses from QuickBooks, Reckon, MYOB and older systems to Xero and other platforms. Customers, suppliers, open invoices, jobs and history are moved, and the old and new systems are checked against each other before cutover, so any difference is found and explained before you switch.
Do we own the code from a custom software project?
Yes. When the project is paid for, HELLO PEOPLE hands over the source code, designs, documents and data in your business name. There are no licence fees and no charges per user, and you are free to take the software to another developer at any time.
Where is our custom software hosted, and where is our data stored?
HELLO PEOPLE hosts custom software on Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure in Australian data centres, in cloud accounts that belong to your business. If you already have a cloud setup, it deploys inside that instead. The team is Australian with no offshore development, so your software and data stay with people and systems in Australia.
What happens after the custom software launches?
Thirty days of support after launch is included with every HELLO PEOPLE custom software project. After that, most clients choose a monthly support plan covering fixes, security updates, monitoring and new features. The plan is optional, and the same people who built the software look after it.
