Migration

Tradify Migration
with every job and quote checked on the way across.

When you migrate from Tradify, the data comes out as an export, not through a live connection, so it has to be right the first time. We move Tradify to simPRO, AroFlo, Fergus, Ascora or ServiceM8, and check every job, quote and open invoice before your crews switch.

What moves when you leave Tradify

Every Tradify move starts from the reports and exports Tradify provides, and ends with the same records, cleaned and checked, in the system you chose.

What actually comes across

Everything in Tradify comes with you, not just the customer list

Moving customers is the easy part. The work is the job history: the quotes behind each job, the jobs half done and half billed, the photos and forms nobody wants to lose. All of it has to arrive checked, not approximately.

What has to move

  • Tradify exports
  • Customers and sites
  • Jobs and quotes
  • Open invoices
  • Forms and photos
What we do

One verified conversion

Every Tradify field matched to its place in the new system, customers merged on rules you approve, then a trial load checked against Tradify before the real one. You choose the switch over date.

What you get

  • Open jobs that show what is billed and what is not
  • Job history your team can still search

What We Migrate

What a Tradify migration covers

Four parts decide whether a move off Tradify goes well. This is how we handle each one.

Tradify data migration starts from its exports

Tradify has no public API, the kind of live data connection other software can read from. Everything comes out through its reports and spreadsheet exports, so a Tradify migration is a one-off lift that has to be right the first time.

Before any date is agreed, we look at exactly what your exports hold: customers, sites, jobs, quotes, invoices, staff and attachments. Anything the exports do not carry is named up front, not discovered on go live day.

Job history and the quotes behind it

The record of what was priced, agreed and billed is what gets argued about long after the move. So jobs come across with their quotes, notes and photos linked, not as a flat list.

Open jobs are the careful part. A job that is part done and part billed has to land in the new system with what is invoiced and what is not still correct.

The right Tradify replacement for how you work

Where people go after Tradify is usually simPRO, AroFlo, Fergus, Ascora or ServiceM8, and sometimes a custom build where the workflow is the thing worth keeping. Which one fits depends on how much of the current system you actually use.

We sell no licences, so we have nothing to gain from your choice. If the system you have picked is a poor fit, we say so before you pay for a move into it.

Accounting, forms and reports reconnected

Tradify usually sits beside Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks Online. The accounting link is rebuilt on the new system, and open invoices are matched so nothing is billed twice or lost between the two.

Custom reports are the most common reason a migration is rejected by the people who use it every day. We list the reports and forms your team relies on at the start, then rebuild them in the new system.

Pricing

What a Tradify migration costs

Price moves with how many customers and jobs you have, how much history you keep, whether quote attachments and photos come across, and which accounting link needs rebuilding. We look at your exports first, then give you a fixed price.

Migration audit call

Tell us what must survive in your new job system, what workflows or reports cannot break, and whether the move fits one fixed-price migration or needs phased delivery.

Fixed-price migration scope

Once data scope, workflow rebuilds, connected systems, and cutover risk are clear, you get fixed-price scope covering cleansing, migration, validation, and go-live. No open-ended estimates.

Phase history and integrations separately

If the move includes heavy history, connected systems, or adjacent rebuild work, we can split it into core migration first, then history, then integrations. Each phase has its own price and sign-off.

Our Process

How we move you off Tradify while crews keep working

A structured process so you know what is happening at each stage. No ambiguity, no surprises.

  1. Look at your Tradify exports

We go through what your Tradify reports and exports actually hold, and list anything they do not carry. You get a clear scope and a fixed price before anything starts.

  2. Choose the destination on fit

simPRO, AroFlo, Fergus, Ascora, ServiceM8 or a custom build. We compare them against how your team really works, not against a feature list.

  3. Clean and map

Duplicate customers merged on rules you approve, old records set aside, and every Tradify field matched to its place in the new system.

  4. Trial load and check

A full trial load into the new system first. Your team checks jobs, quotes, customers and open invoices against Tradify before the real move.

  5. Final export and switch over

A last export is taken at the agreed cut, loaded and checked the same way. Crews keep working in Tradify right up to that point.

  6. Support after go live

We stay on through the first weeks in the new system, and Tradify stays readable as a reference while the team settles in.

FAQs

Questions trade owners ask before leaving Tradify

Do we have to leave Tradify?

Not necessarily. Tradify suits a small trade team and does that job well. The reason to move is usually growth: more staff, stock or assets the app was never meant to carry, and a spreadsheet covering the gap. If staying is the better call this year, we will say so.

How do you migrate from Tradify without an API?

Tradify has no public API, so we work from its reports and spreadsheet exports. Every Tradify data export migration we run checks the exported rows against Tradify itself, and again against the new system after loading, so a row that did not come out is found before go live.

Can you do a Tradify to ServiceM8 migration?

Yes. ServiceM8 suits smaller teams that want jobs, quotes and invoices on a phone. A Tradify to ServiceM8 move carries customers, sites and job history across, and we check open jobs and invoices before the switch.

What about Tradify to Fergus, AroFlo or Ascora?

We scope each one the same way. A Tradify to Fergus migration needs part finished jobs to land with what is billed and what is not still correct. A Tradify to AroFlo migration is about site records, photos and timesheets. A Tradify to Ascora migration carries the quote history across, revisions included. For larger teams we also move Tradify to simPRO, which has its own page.

How much history comes across?

Less than people expect. Open work plus two to three years of job history covers what most trade businesses use day to day. Everything older is better kept as a readable archive than loaded into the new system.

Can crews keep working in Tradify during the move?

Yes, and they should. Tradify stays live and untouched while the new system is set up and checked. Nothing is switched off until the last export has been loaded and checked.

Are you a software reseller, or do you provide Tradify migration services?

We provide Tradify migration services only. We are an Australian team with no licence commission from any job management system, so the advice on where to go is independent.

What if Tradify no longer fits, but nothing else does either?

Then a custom build may be right, where the way you work is the thing worth keeping. We will tell you honestly whether that is worth it, or whether an off the shelf system gets you most of the way.
