Customer Portals

Tradify Customer Portal
for the repeat clients who ring most.

Their jobs and where each is up to, the quotes still waiting on a decision, and their invoices, on a login you own. It is fed from Tradify reports on a schedule, because Tradify has no public API to read live.

That shapes what the portal can do, and we say so before you spend anything rather than after. Fixed-price scope, an Australian team, and support after launch.

On your domain, in your branding, and yours at the end of it.

What your customers see

What your customers see in a Tradify portal

Every screen is built from Tradify reports and exports, checked on each refresh, so the figures match what Tradify said at the time of the last export.

  • Their jobs and where each is up to
  • Quotes awaiting a decision
  • Invoices and payment history
  • Completed work and job notes
  • Their site and contact details

What people ask us for

Start with the job your Tradify portal has to do

The same portal gets asked for in six different ways depending on where you are up to. Select any one to read how we approach it.

Tradify customer portals

Tradify customer portal and client portal

A customer portal for Tradify is a login you own, on your domain, where your customers see their own account. A client portal for Tradify is the same build under the name professional services tend to use. Either way it is not the Tradify login: your customers never get access to Tradify, and you do not buy them a seat.

Tradify has no public API, so the portal is fed from Tradify reports and exports on a schedule, usually daily. What a customer sees is as current as the last refresh, which is enough to remove most of the calls asking where things are up to. If Tradify grants your business API access, the same portal can switch to reading it live.

Tradify customer portals

Tradify customer portal development

We are a Tradify customer portal development company, and this is custom work rather than a product with your logo on it. Tradify portal development starts with what your customers should see and what they should be able to do, because that decides everything after it.

A custom Tradify customer portal is worth building when an off-the-shelf tool cannot model how you actually work: repeat commercial clients, property managers, or multi-site arrangements Tradify does not model. Where a product would genuinely do the job we will say so rather than quote.

Tradify customer portals

Build a Tradify customer portal, or a customer app

Some clients want a portal on the web, others want a Tradify customer app their customers keep on a phone. The data layer is the same; the difference is how it is delivered and what it costs to maintain, and it is worth deciding deliberately rather than by default.

Either way it is a Tradify customer portal solution scoped and fixed-price before anything is built, running in parallel with how you work now until you agree it is right.

Tradify customer portals

Tradify customer portal integration

Tradify portal integration is the part most projects underestimate. Connecting a customer portal to Tradify means matching every job and invoice in the exports to exactly one customer login, checking each refresh before it is published, and raising an alert when an export does not arrive.

Tradify is built around the tradesperson rather than the customer, so a portal is adding an audience the product does not have. What a customer is allowed to see is a decision you make rather than one Tradify makes for you, and it is worth making deliberately.

If you already have a portal or a website, we integrate the customer portal with Tradify rather than starting again. If you have neither, we build both.

Tradify customer portals

Invoice, payment and account portals

Most Tradify portals start as a Tradify job and invoice portal: their jobs and where each is up to. From there it usually grows into quotes awaiting a decision, invoices and payment history.

A Tradify customer account portal and a Tradify customer billing portal are the same build seen from different angles. The work is making sure every job and invoice shown sits against the right customer, first time. Payments can be taken through your payment gateway and reconciled in accounting, since nothing outside Tradify can mark a Tradify invoice paid.

Tradify customer portals

Orders, quotes, documents and dashboards

Tradify is built around the tradesperson rather than the customer, so what a customer may see is a decision you make rather than one the product makes for you. A Tradify customer order portal, a Tradify quote portal where a customer approves a quote and your office is told to action it, and a Tradify customer document portal are all the same portal with more of the account exposed. A Tradify client dashboard on the front page answers the question before they go looking.

What Tradify does not hold, we fetch from wherever it does live. That is usually the job system, the CRM or a database, and joining those is the same work as any other integration.

One place, one view

Your customers should not need three logins

Tradify holds part of the picture. The rest is in the job system, the CRM, the payment gateway and wherever your documents live. A portal that only reads Tradify hands your customer a fragment and sends them back to the phone for the rest.

We join them. One login, designed to your brand, showing a complete account view built from every system that has a piece of it.

  • Your accounting system, for invoices, statements and payment
  • Payment gateways, so paying in the portal reconciles correctly
  • Document and photo storage, for job evidence
  • Your CRM, so the contact and the site are one record
  • Your website or app, so the login is part of your brand rather than beside it

How it works now

Every question lands on your desk

  • Customers ring or email to ask the same questions
  • Somebody exports from Tradify and sends it out
  • Chasing takes a person the best part of a day a week
  • No record of who was told what, or when

After

Customers look it up, straight from Tradify

  • Available any time, straight from Tradify
  • Nothing rekeyed, because it is read rather than copied
  • Anything they submit posted back where you want it
  • An audit trail of who saw what and when

Scoped and quoted before you commit. You own the code, the documentation and the credentials at the end of it.

Common questions

Questions owners ask about a Tradify portal

Is this the Tradify login?

No. The Tradify login is where you and your staff work. This is a separate portal you own, for your customers, that is fed from your Tradify data through its reports and exports. Your customers never get access to Tradify itself.

What can customers actually see?

Typically their jobs and where each is up to, quotes awaiting a decision, invoices and payment history. What they cannot see is anything else, because the portal only ever requests the records belonging to that contact.

What is the hardest part of Tradify portal work?

Tradify has no public API, so a portal cannot read it live or write back to it. It is fed from Tradify reports and exports on a schedule, and anything a customer does in the portal comes to your office to action in Tradify. Deciding how fresh the data needs to be comes before anything else.

Do we need a licence for every portal user?

No. The portal is fed from Tradify exports, not from customer logins, so the number of customers logging in does not change what you pay Tradify. That is usually the reason a custom portal costs less than the alternative once you have more than a handful of users.

Will it slow Tradify down or put our data at risk?

The portal never connects to Tradify at all. It works from exports your office already produces, so day-to-day use is unaffected and nothing in Tradify can be changed from outside.

How long does it take?

A straightforward portal over Tradify is usually weeks rather than months. We scope it and quote fixed-price before starting.
