Integration

Nookal Integration Services
so the Friday spreadsheet can stop.

HELLO PEOPLE is an Australian Nookal integration company for allied health clinics. We carry Nookal consults, invoices and payments into your accounting and reporting on a schedule, so nobody exports a spreadsheet to find out what a room or a practitioner earned.

Access for other software, through the Nookal API, is switched on by a Practice Manager and carries that account level of permission. So we settle whose account it is before we quote a fixed price.

  • Australia-wide Perth-based, working with clinics nationally
  • 18+ years Building custom software
  • Verified Against your own Nookal data
  • Fixed Price scopes, no hourly billing
Australian owned and operated

Built here. Your data stays here.

  • No offshore development. Everything is written by our own team in Australia. Nothing is subcontracted overseas.
  • Your data stays onshore. Hosted in Australia, on infrastructure you own, under Australian law.
  • Every state, not just ours. Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and everywhere between.

The problem

What happens to the spreadsheet exported every Friday?

The clinic runs the day in Nookal. Accounting and reporting live somewhere else, and the bridge between them is a spreadsheet somebody exports at the end of the week. Hours go missing in that export, and a month can pass before anyone sees what a room or a practitioner actually earned.

What you already run

What we build

A scheduled run instead of an export

Reads consults, invoices and payments from Nookal under an account you chose, posts them to accounting, allocates income per practitioner, and holds anything unclear for the practice manager.

What changes

  • The books are up to date without anyone exporting
  • Practitioner income is ready for the pay run
  • Room and practitioner results arrive the following week
What We Build

Custom Nookal integration for the clinic office

Four pieces of Nookal integration work, each checked against your own clinic data before it is priced.

Consults and payments into the books without an export

In many clinics, the bridge between Nookal and accounting is a spreadsheet somebody exports on a Friday afternoon. We replace that with a scheduled run that carries consults, invoices and payments into Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks.

The run can stay weekly if that suits the practice, or move to daily. What changes is that nobody has to remember it.

Income by practitioner, ready for the pay run

Where practitioners are paid a share of what they bill, the pay run depends on income being allocated to the right person. We produce that figure per practitioner from Nookal each pay period.

Anything with an unclear split waits for the practice manager, because a wrong split is a wrong pay.

What each room and practitioner actually earned

Owners often wait a month to see which rooms are busy and which practitioners are fully booked. We join Nookal appointments with paid revenue from accounting, so that shows up the following week instead.

Late cancellations are counted separately, so a busy diary is not mistaken for a profitable one.

Patient reminders and follow up from Nookal

Messages to patients who have not rebooked, recalls on a schedule, and follow up after an initial consult, all driven by Nookal appointment records.

The messages need appointment dates, not clinical notes, so the integration does not read clinical notes at all.

Pricing

How a Nookal build is priced

Verified against your data, then quoted at a fixed price. No hourly billing and no surprises halfway through.

Show us the Friday spreadsheet

Whatever the export does today is the first draft of the scope. Bring it to a short call.

Checked before quoted

Nookal has less public developer material than some platforms, so we test what your build needs against your own data before we put a fixed price on it.

Support once running

A monthly plan covers changes in Nookal or your accounting system, so the Friday export does not quietly come back.

Why HELLO PEOPLE

Do you need a Nookal integration developer,
or will a connector do?

With Nookal, the deciding questions are whose account the access sits under and how the practitioner split is handled. Here is how the options compare.

Case Study

Connected business systems cut manual data entry by 85%

An Australian business running on five disconnected platforms, accounting, CRM, field-service, eCommerce, and reporting, was spending hours each day re-keying the same data. We connected the systems through their APIs so contacts, invoices, orders and payments flow automatically. Errors are visible and recoverable.

How It Works

From the Friday export to a scheduled run

Six steps, ending with the spreadsheet retired only after the figures agree.

  1. Start from the spreadsheet

The Friday export shows what the practice needs. We read it with whoever builds it and note every manual step.

  2. Choose the account

A Practice Manager switches API access on. The key carries practitioner-level permissions, so we agree which account it sits under and what that account can see.

  3. Verify against your data

We check that Nookal returns what the scope needs, from your own clinic, before the price is set.

  4. Build and run in parallel

The integration runs beside the Friday export for a few weeks, and the two are compared line by line.

  5. Retire the export

Once the figures agree, the spreadsheet stops. The practice manager keeps the report, not the chore.

  6. Keep it honest

Runs are logged and failures raise an alert. Support plans cover changes on either side.

Meet the person

Nookal Integration, one seamless process

Your Nookal Integration, handled by the founder from start to end.

Hello, I am Kasun, the founder of HELLO PEOPLE. My first career was in accounting, so I connect systems the way an accountant would: every record lands in the right place, and both sides agree.

I have run HELLO PEOPLE from Perth since 2007. Over 100 projects sit behind it, from accounting migrations and system integrations to custom software for small and medium businesses.

I have a solid accounting and IT background, with over 20 years of business experience covering every process a business runs on: sales, marketing, service delivery, inventory and warehousing, and compliance, across many industries. I hold accounting and IT professional qualifications and an MBA in Oil and Gas, and I am currently reading for a PhD in AI at Curtin University in Western Australia, focused on retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).

  • An old-fashioned service

Small and boutique. The person who scopes your integration is the person who builds it, and the same person watches the first live syncs.

  • Quick responses

No ticket queue and no account manager in between. You hear back within one business day, usually sooner.

  • A long-term partner

The integration is the start, not the end. When you need the next system, integration or report, you call the same person, who already knows your business.

Today

The clinic knows its numbers a month late

  • A spreadsheet is exported every Friday
  • Practitioner splits are worked out by hand
  • Late cancellations get lost in the totals
  • Room use is a guess until month end

After

The books keep up with the diary

  • Consults and payments post on a schedule
  • Income per practitioner is ready for pay
  • Late cancellation fees are flagged for review
  • Room and practitioner results arrive weekly

Scoped and quoted before you commit. You own the code, and access stays under an account you chose.

Questions

What clinic owners ask about Nookal integration

How is a Nookal API integration switched on?

A Practice Manager enables API access in Nookal. The API is the connection point other software uses, and the key it issues carries practitioner-level permissions. Who switches it on, and under which account, decides what the integration can see, so we plan that with you first.

Why does a Nookal integration consultant test before quoting?

Nookal has less public developer material than the platforms around it, and fewer worked examples to copy. A Nookal integration consultant checks the behaviour your build depends on against your own data, so the fixed price is based on what Nookal really returns.

What does a Nookal integration developer replace first?

Usually the Friday spreadsheet export into accounting. It is the job everyone already understands, so it is the easiest to check and the quickest to retire.

Is HELLO PEOPLE a Nookal integration company or a Nookal partner?

We are an independent integration company. We do not resell Nookal, so we have no reason to push you towards any particular subscription or add-on.

How much does a custom Nookal integration cost?

A fixed price against a written scope, set after we have checked Nookal against your data. Replacing one export is a smaller job than accounting, practitioner pay and reporting together.

Can you work out what each practitioner earned?

Yes, from Nookal appointments and payments, allocated per practitioner. Anything with an unclear split waits for the practice manager before it reaches the pay run.

Does the integration read clinical notes?

No. Accounting, pay and reporting need appointments and payments. Clinical notes are left in Nookal.
