How long does a Rezdy to Xero integration take?
A single Rezdy to Xero connection covering bookings, invoices, GST splits, and refunds typically takes 2 to 4 weeks. Adding agent/reseller commission automation or OTA channel reconciliation (GetYourGuide, Viator, Klook) adds 1 to 2 weeks. Fixed-price after a 15-minute scoping call.
We have multiple agents and resellers — can the integration handle commission splits?
Yes. Agent and reseller commission structures are one of the most common reasons tour operators come to us. We map each agent's commission rate, net-vs-gross posting preference, and payout schedule into the integration so Xero always shows the correct net revenue and agent payable balance.
Our guests pay a deposit then a balance — does the integration handle split payments?
Yes. Deposit and balance payments post to Xero on the date they are received, with the correct GST proportion applied to each instalment. The booking invoice is not finalised until the balance is paid — matching standard Australian accounting treatment for tour operators.
What happens to gift vouchers in the integration?
Gift vouchers are posted as a liability in Xero when sold and released to revenue when redeemed against a booking. This matches the accounting standard for deferred revenue and ensures your BAS does not overstate income in the month of sale.
We sell through Viator and GetYourGuide — can those bookings flow through too?
Yes. OTA bookings that land in Rezdy via the channel manager are included. We post the net amount (after OTA commission) to your revenue account and record the commission as a separate expense line — so your Xero P&L reflects true net tour revenue, not gross OTA turnover.
Will the integration break when Rezdy releases updates?
Rezdy maintains a stable REST API with versioned endpoints. Breaking changes are rare and announced in advance. An optional monthly support agreement covers maintenance if Rezdy does push a change that affects your integration — or you can take the documented code to another developer.
Do we own the integration code?
Yes. Every engagement delivers working integration code, field mappings, and any dashboards — all owned outright by your business. There is no per-seat SaaS subscription to us. You can hand the codebase to your in-house team or another developer at any time.
We also use Deputy for rostering guides on departures — can that be included?
Yes. Confirmed booking counts per departure can drive Deputy or Tanda shift creation automatically — so your guides are rostered based on actual manifests, not manual counts. This is a common add-on for tour operators running half-day and full-day experiences.
