How long does a custom Oolio integration take?
A single Oolio-to-Xero daily-takings integration typically runs 2 to 4 weeks. A multi-venue rollup with booking platform and payroll connections runs 5 to 8 weeks. Fixed-price after a 15-minute scoping call — you know the cost before any code is written.
Can you handle tips, surcharges and GST splits correctly in Xero?
Yes — this is the most common reason hospitality operators call us. Tips need to land in the right Xero account (often a liability account, not revenue), surcharges need correct GST treatment, and payment-method breakdowns (Tyro, cash, card, QR) need to map to the right clearing accounts. We configure every line per your accountant's chart of accounts.
We have multiple Oolio venues — can you consolidate them?
Yes. Multi-venue rollup is a core use case for us. Each venue posts to its own Xero entity or cost centre, and we build a Power BI (or equivalent) consolidated view across all sites. You get per-venue P&L and a group view side by side.
We still use the Idealpos / OrderMate / Bepoz name — does that matter?
No. The underlying platform is the same Oolio group stack regardless of which brand name it came in under. We work with the Oolio API regardless of the historical brand on your contract. Confirm during the scoping call which version you are on so we use the right endpoints.
How is this different from Doshii or a marketplace connector?
Doshii is an excellent middleware layer for connecting platforms in the hospitality stack — and we work with it, not against it. Where Doshii covers standard flows between supported platforms, a custom integration is right when you need non-standard accounting splits, multi-venue consolidation logic, a platform Doshii does not cover, or you want to own the connection rather than subscribe to it monthly.
Can you connect our booking platform (OpenTable / ResDiary / Now Book It)?
Yes. We connect reservation data from OpenTable, ResDiary and Now Book It (an Oolio-family brand) through to Oolio and downstream into accounting. Typical use cases: covers vs. actuals reporting, table-spend per booking source, and pre-authorisation flows to Xero.
What about Deliveroo, Uber Eats and DoorDash?
We pull order and revenue data from delivery platforms and reconcile it into Oolio and Xero as separate revenue streams. Each delivery channel appears as its own account code in Xero so your bookkeeper can see delivery margin separately from dine-in margin.
Do we own the integration code?
Yes. All code, mappings and documentation are yours from day one. No per-venue or per-transaction SaaS subscription to us — one fixed-price build and you own it. You can take the codebase to another developer at any time if you choose.
