Before you book the scoping call
Do you work with ServiceM8, Simpro and Tradify — or just one?
All three. ServiceM8 is the most common in AU electrical and plumbing SMBs (strong mobile-first API). Simpro suits larger trade businesses with multi-branch, multi-technician complexity. Tradify suits smaller sole-trader and 2-5 person crews. We work with whichever one you are already on — no need to switch.
How is this different from the native Xero connector in ServiceM8 or Simpro?
The native connectors handle basic invoice push well. They fall short on materials cost line items, multi-job invoice grouping, account code rules per job type, credit notes and payment reconciliation in the opposite direction. We wire those gaps. Where the native connector covers your use case, we will honestly say so.
Can you connect our web lead forms so they auto-create a job?
Yes. We map your enquiry form fields (name, address, job type, preferred time) to a draft job in your JM tool. If you use a CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho), the contact is created or matched there first and then the job is created in the JM tool from the CRM record. Status updates in the JM tool can push back to the CRM and trigger customer emails.
What supplier portals do you integrate with?
Reece and Ironmongery are the most common. We also connect to electrical wholesaler portals, refrigeration supplier catalogues and custom supplier EDI feeds. The integration auto-creates purchase orders in your JM tool from materials listed on a job, then pushes delivery confirmations back when stock arrives.
Can you build a multi-vehicle dispatch overlay?
Yes. We build a rules engine that sits between your JM tool and a scheduling layer — assigning jobs to vehicles and technicians based on location, skill, capacity and job priority. Recurring jobs (e.g. quarterly HVAC servicing contracts) are auto-generated and queued. This is built as a custom app you own, not a SaaS subscription.
Does the Xero integration handle AU GST and STP correctly?
Yes. GST applied per-line correctly (including on labour and materials separately where required), tax codes mapped to Xero account codes per job type, and reverse-charge GST on imported parts handled. STP payroll compliance is via your payroll system (Xero Payroll, MYOB, Employment Hero) — we wire the time data to it but the STP lodgement stays in your payroll tool.
How long does a JM tool integration take?
A focused two-system integration (ServiceM8 to Xero invoice and payment sync) typically takes 2-4 weeks. A multi-system project (JM tool + supplier portal + lead form pipeline + Power BI reporting) typically takes 6-10 weeks. Sprint demos every two weeks against real data so you see progress at every stage.
Do we own the integration code? Is there a monthly fee to you?
Yes — source code, webhook config, deployment scripts and monitoring config are all yours in your GitHub or Azure DevOps from day one. No per-job or per-month SaaS subscription to us. Ongoing maintenance is month-to-month, never locked in. Hosting stays on your Azure or AWS account so the running cost is at cloud pricing, not agency mark-up.
