Six Excel integration capabilities
From the Excel-to-Xero daily feed that kills Friday afternoon data entry, through the SharePoint-triggered automation that routes the right numbers to the right system, to the web app that finally replaces the 15-tab workbook no one trusts any more — all built against your real data, not a demo dataset.

Excel to Accounting
Connect Excel to Xero, MYOB AccountRight, or QuickBooks Online. Automate invoice creation, expense imports, reconciliation feeds and GL journal uploads that your team currently re-keys by hand. Scheduled or on-demand, one-way or two-way.
- Excel → Xero · MYOB · QBO
- Invoice & expense automation
- Scheduled reconciliation feeds
-
Excel to CRM
Excel spreadsheets piped into HubSpot, Salesforce or Dynamics 365. Sales data, lead lists, contact updates and pipeline snapshots synced automatically so the sales team stops living in the spreadsheet and the CRM stops being stale.

- Lead & contact sync
- Pipeline snapshot automation
-
Excel to Cloud & SharePoint
Excel files on SharePoint, OneDrive or Teams connected to downstream systems via Graph API and REST. Version-controlled, permission-aware, accessible to the whole team without the emailed-attachment chaos. Triggers when a file is updated.
- SharePoint & OneDrive integration
- Graph API & REST triggers
- Multi-user without conflicts
-
Excel Automation Services
Scheduled automation jobs that pull from or push to Excel: overnight data refreshes, report generation, email dispatches with the latest figures, feed files for warehouses or 3PLs. VBA replaced with maintainable code your team can actually support.
- Scheduled jobs & overnight runs
- Automated report generation
- VBA replacement & modernisation
-
Excel to Web App
Graduate the critical spreadsheet to a real web application: a database behind it, multi-user access, proper permissions, a clean UI and an audit trail. Same workflow, none of the fragility. Hosted on AWS or Azure, fixed-price.
- Spreadsheet → web app
- Multi-user · audit trail · roles
- Hosted on AWS or Azure

Excel API Integration
Excel as a source or destination in a broader data pipeline. REST API reads and writes, webhook receivers that write into Excel, Power BI datasets sourced from Excel, SQL Server or Snowflake exports back into Excel for distribution. Custom integration code, not connector subscriptions.
- REST API · webhook integration
- Power BI & SQL Server feeds
- Excel as pipeline source or sink

Week 0
Spreadsheet Audit
15-minute scoping call. We look at the spreadsheet(s) in question, the systems they need to talk to, what is currently manual, what breaks, and whether the right answer is integration, automation or replacing the spreadsheet with a web app. Fixed-price quote inside 48 hours.

Weeks 1–N
Build & Test
Two-week sprints with weekly demos. Integration built against sandboxes (Xero demo company, HubSpot sandbox, etc.) and tested with a copy of your real data before anything touches production. Field mapping reviewed with the people who actually use the spreadsheet.
-
Cutover
Go Live & Handover
Production wire-up on a planned window. Monitoring and alerting active. Reconciliation check (rows in vs rows out) before sign-off. 30 days post-launch support included. Source code and deployment scripts are yours on day one.
Before you book the scoping call
Can you connect our existing Excel spreadsheet to Xero without rebuilding it?
Usually yes. We build an integration layer that reads from your spreadsheet (on SharePoint, OneDrive, a local network share or emailed as an attachment) and pushes the data into Xero. Your team keeps working in Excel; invoices, expenses and journal entries land in Xero automatically. The scoping call surfaces any edge cases in your data model.
How long does an Excel integration project take?
A focused one-way feed (Excel to Xero or MYOB, scheduled daily) typically takes 2–4 weeks. A two-way sync with conflict handling and multiple target systems runs 4–8 weeks. Replacing a complex spreadsheet with a full web application is 6–16 weeks depending on the scope. Sprint demos every two weeks against real data.
What is the difference between Excel integration and Excel automation?
Integration connects Excel to another system so data flows between them. Automation eliminates manual steps inside Excel itself — VBA jobs, scheduled refreshes, report generation, email dispatches. Many projects need both: automate what happens inside the spreadsheet, then integrate the result with Xero or your CRM.
Can you automate Excel spreadsheets that are on SharePoint or Teams?
Yes. SharePoint-hosted Excel files are accessible via Microsoft Graph API, which gives us reliable triggers (file-updated events), read and write access, and version control. We can watch a folder for new or changed files and process them automatically without any manual upload step.
We have an Excel spreadsheet that is our whole system — should we integrate it or replace it with a web app?
It depends on complexity, user count and how much the current pain costs you. Integration is right when Excel is a good tool for your workflow but needs to talk to other systems. A web app is right when you need multiple concurrent users, fine-grained permissions, an audit trail, or business logic too complex to trust in formulas. The scoping call gives you an honest recommendation — not always the more expensive one.
What about Excel and Power BI — can you set up automated data feeds?
Yes. Excel as a Power BI dataset source is common: we set up a scheduled refresh pipeline that pulls from your spreadsheets (or the systems they aggregate) into Power BI automatically. We also build the reverse — Power BI datasets exported back to Excel for distribution to teams who need to work with the numbers locally.
Can you integrate Excel with Xero and another system at the same time?
Yes — multi-system integrations are common. A typical project connects Excel to Xero for accounting, a CRM (HubSpot or Salesforce) for pipeline data, and optionally a reporting tool (Power BI or a custom dashboard). Each system has its own field mapping; the integration layer routes the right data to the right destination.
Do we own the code and the integration?
Yes. Source code, deployment scripts, monitoring configuration — all yours in your GitHub or Azure DevOps from day one. No per-row or per-month integration SaaS subscription to us. Ongoing maintenance is optional and month-to-month. Hosting is yours.
