The Challenge

An Australian food wholesaler supplying restaurants, cafes, and retailers was drowning in manual order processing. Orders came in via phone, email, fax, and even text message. Staff spent most of their day entering orders into the system, chasing confirmations, and fixing errors. Pricing was complex — every customer had negotiated rates, volume discounts, and different credit terms. They needed a way for trade customers to order online without losing the personalised pricing and account management they relied on.

The Solution

We built a B2B ordering platform where each trade customer logs in and sees their specific pricing, available products, and credit terms. They can browse the catalogue, add to cart, review their order history, reorder previous orders with one click, and track deliveries. The system integrates directly with Xero for invoicing and accounts receivable. Orders flow through to the warehouse picking system automatically. Sales reps have a dashboard showing their accounts, outstanding orders, and customer activity.

2

Platform Design

3 weeks

Designed the customer portal, catalogue, and admin interfaces around actual ordering behaviour.

3

Build & Integrate

4

Rollout & Onboarding

4 weeks

Onboarded trade customers in batches, gathered feedback, and refined the ordering experience.

Our trade customers love it. They can order at midnight, see their pricing, and reorder their usual items in seconds. Our team has gone from entering orders all day to actually growing the business. Should have done this years ago.
