Before you book the scoping call
How much does a custom web app cost?
Fixed-price after a 15-minute scoping call and a short discovery session. A focused internal tool or MVP typically takes 6–10 weeks. A full SaaS product or multi-portal platform takes 12–24 weeks. You know the price before any code is written — no day-rate creep, no "Phase 2" billing surprise. You own the code.
How long does a custom web app take to build?
Simple internal tools (one user role, one main workflow): 4–8 weeks. Standard business web apps (multi-role, several integrations, reporting): 8–16 weeks. SaaS MVPs ready for paying customers: 12–20 weeks. Enterprise platforms with deep integrations: 5–9 months. Sprint demos every two weeks — you see working software the whole time, not a launch-day reveal.
Do you build SaaS products and MVPs?
Yes — and we build them lean. The mistake we see most is founders spending a fortune on a full V1 before they have a paying customer. We build the smallest version that proves the value proposition (auth, the core workflow, Stripe billing) in 12–16 weeks, then iterate based on what real users actually do. Multi-tenant architecture, white-labelling and team accounts are standard.
Which framework do you use — React, Vue or Angular?
Default is React + TypeScript on the front end, Node.js + TypeScript on the back end, PostgreSQL or SQL Server for data, hosted on Azure or AWS. We also build with Vue and Angular when there's an existing codebase or strong team preference — but we won't pick a stack purely for novelty. Boring, well-supported, easy-to-hire-for is the right answer.
What about Progressive Web Apps — do they really work offline?
Yes. PWAs install to the home screen on iOS and Android, run full-screen, send push notifications and cache the app shell + recent data so users can keep working when the network drops. Service workers handle background sync — when the device comes back online, queued changes upload automatically. For field-services, healthcare and education use cases this matters a lot.
Do you handle hosting and ongoing maintenance?
Yes — but you're never locked in. We deploy to your Azure or AWS account (the cloud bill is yours). Ongoing maintenance is month-to-month — security patches, dependency updates, small enhancements. Cancel anytime and your code keeps running.
Can you integrate with our existing tools — Xero, HubSpot, Salesforce, Stripe, our internal API?
Yes. Most custom web apps we build talk to 3–8 external systems on day one. Accounting (Xero / MYOB / QuickBooks), CRM (HubSpot / Salesforce / Pipedrive), payments (Stripe / Square), rostering (Deputy / Employment Hero), reporting (Power BI), e-commerce (Shopify / WooCommerce) — plus your internal SQL Server, REST or SOAP APIs, EDI feeds or legacy database bridges.
Do we own the code?
Yes. Every engagement results in source code that you own outright, hosted in your GitHub or Azure DevOps from day one. No per-seat or per-user SaaS subscription to us. You can take the codebase to another developer at any time — and the way we structure projects (clean architecture, documentation, no proprietary frameworks) means another team can pick it up without re-platforming.
