Six internal-system capabilities
From the approval queue that today lives in someone's inbox, to the supplier register tracked across three spreadsheets, to the staff intranet you keep meaning to build — all delivered as a single, integrated, role-aware internal system.
-
Operations & Workflow Apps
Quote-to-cash, approval queues, request management, internal CRMs, job tracking, on-boarding workflows — the cross-team processes that today live in a spreadsheet, an inbox and the founder's head.
- Quote · approval · request flows
- Internal CRMs & trackers
- Cross-team handoffs
-
Back-Office Systems
Finance, admin and operations back-office systems — supplier mgmt, AP/AR automation, inventory, asset register, contract & document handling — built around how your back-office actually runs, not how the SaaS template assumes.
- Supplier · AP/AR · inventory
- Asset register · contracts
- Document mgmt & e-sign
-
Internal Portals & Tools
Staff intranet, internal directory, IT/HR ticketing, knowledge base, policy library, onboarding & offboarding flows — one place your team logs into instead of a Slack channel, a Notion page and an inbox.
- Staff intranet & directory
- IT / HR ticketing & helpdesk
- Onboarding & offboarding
-
Spreadsheet Replacement
The 12-tab master spreadsheet, the Airtable base everyone secretly hates, the Notion DB nobody updates — migrated into a real custom application with validation, audit trail, integrations and role-based access.
- Migrate from Excel / Sheets
- Replace Notion / Airtable
- Validation · audit · access control
-
Integrations & Automation
Sync with Xero / MYOB, HubSpot / Salesforce, Stripe / Square, Shopify / WooCommerce, plus your internal SQL Server, REST or SOAP APIs. Automate the boring re-keying so your team stops being the integration layer.

- Stripe · Square · e-commerce
- Internal APIs & SQL Server
-
Role-Based Access & Audit
SSO with Microsoft / Google, MFA, granular role-based permissions, complete audit trail on who changed what and when. Built in from day one — not bolted on after a security review or compliance ask.

Weeks 1–N
Build in Sprints
Two-week sprints with weekly demos. The most painful workflow ships first — your team can use it inside fortnight one. Spreadsheets and integrations migrated in parallel. Real users testing real data the whole way through.

Before you book the scoping call
How much does a custom internal business system cost?
Fixed-price after a 15-minute scoping call and a short discovery session. A focused single-workflow internal app (approvals, request mgmt, internal CRM, spreadsheet replacement) takes 4–10 weeks. A multi-module back-office system with several integrations, RBAC and reporting takes 10–20 weeks. You know the price before any code is written.
How long does it take to build?
Single-workflow internal app: 4–8 weeks. Multi-role internal portal or back-office system with 3–5 integrations: 10–16 weeks. Enterprise internal platform replacing many disparate systems: 4–8 months. Demos every two weeks — your team is using the first useful version inside fortnight one or two, not waiting for a launch-day reveal.
Can you replace our spreadsheets, Airtable base or Notion DB?
Yes — this is the single most common build we do. Pattern: in discovery we audit which workflows live in the spreadsheet/Airtable/Notion, what data they hold, who reads vs writes, which integrations they need. The custom build preserves the data, adds validation, audit trail and proper integrations, and removes the failure modes (someone overwrites a cell, formulas break, no version control, no permissions).
What exactly is an "internal business system"?
Anything your team uses to run the business that isn't a customer-facing product — back-office, operations, finance, HR, IT, admin. Examples: a custom job/project tracker, an approval workflow, an internal CRM, a supplier portal, a quote-to-invoice tool, a staff onboarding flow, a compliance tracker, a maintenance scheduler. If your team is currently doing it in spreadsheets, inboxes and shared drives, it's a candidate.
How is this different from Airtable, Notion, Retool, Bubble or other no/low-code?
Those tools are great when your needs fit their model — and the scoping call covers that option honestly. Custom is the right call when (a) you've already outgrown the no-code platform (slow, hitting row limits, performance dies above 50 users), (b) per-user pricing scales painfully with growth, (c) you need integrations or workflows the platform doesn't support, or (d) the system is core enough that you want to own the code rather than rent it.
Can it integrate with our existing accounting, CRM and other tools?
Yes — and that's usually the point. Standard integrations include Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks (accounting), HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive (CRM), Stripe, Square (payments), Shopify, WooCommerce (e-commerce), Deputy (rostering), ServiceM8/Simpro (field). Plus any internal SQL Server / PostgreSQL database, REST / SOAP API, or CSV/Excel feed. We build the integration in-project — no Zapier or third-party connector subscription on top.
Will it work for remote and mobile staff?
Yes. Every internal system we ship is web-based and mobile-responsive by default. Remote workers, hybrid staff and on-site teams all use the same URL. Optional Progressive Web App install for staff who use it constantly. SSO with Microsoft or Google handles auth so nobody needs another password.
Do we own the code?
Yes. Every engagement results in source code that you own outright, hosted in your GitHub or Azure DevOps from day one. No per-user internal-systems SaaS subscription to us. You can take the codebase to another developer at any time — and we structure projects (clean architecture, documentation, no proprietary frameworks) so another team can pick it up without re-platforming. Hosting is yours.
