Attaché / Attache migration — every record, every BAS, every payroll history preserved

Fixed-price after a 15-minute scoping call and a short discovery session. A focused Attaché → Xero or MYOB migration (single company, standard modules, 5–10 years of history) typically takes 4–10 weeks. A multi-entity Attaché → NetSuite or Dynamics 365 BC migration with full GL, inventory, payroll and custom-report rebuild takes 10–20 weeks. You know the price before any data is touched.

Single-company Attaché → Xero or MYOB with standard modules: 4–8 weeks. Multi-company Attaché → NetSuite or Dynamics 365 BC with payroll, inventory, multi-currency: 10–18 weeks. Enterprise Attaché installations with deep customisations, custom reports and field-operations modules: 4–6 months. Cutover always lands on a planned end-of-month or end-of-quarter boundary so BAS / STP stay clean.

Depends on your size, sector and existing stack. Xero is right for most small-to-mid AU businesses (cloud-first, big ecosystem, great Xero Payroll for STP). MYOB AccountRight if you need deeper inventory/job-costing and an Australian-owned vendor. NetSuite for mid-market businesses that have outgrown SMB accounting and want full ERP. Dynamics 365 BC if you're already heavy on Microsoft (Power BI, M365, Teams). The scoping call covers all four honestly — we don't get paid more to recommend any one.

In principle, all of it — GL transactions, AR/AP detail, customer/supplier records, employees, inventory items, invoice and payment history, payroll history. In practice we ask which years actually need to be queryable in the new system (typically last 2–7 years live, older years archived as exports). Australian Tax Office requires 5 years of records — we always migrate enough to satisfy that and the auditor's next visit.

Standard part of the migration. We map your Attaché chart of accounts to the target system's structure (Xero uses a simpler hierarchy, NetSuite uses segments, Dynamics 365 BC uses dimensions) — and your accountant signs off the mapping before any data moves. Opening balances tied to your last reconciled period so the new system starts in a defensible state.

Yes — this is one of the more delicate parts. We preserve payroll history sufficient for STP continuity, leave reporting (the ATO reporting trail) intact, and switch your STP submission to the new system on a clean pay-period boundary. Year-to-date figures carry across so end-of-year reporting is uninterrupted.

All in scope — but the migration target needs to handle them. NetSuite and Dynamics 365 BC handle inventory + manufacturing + field-ops natively. MYOB AccountRight handles inventory and some job-costing. Xero needs a connected app (Unleashed, DEAR/Cin7 Core, etc.) for serious inventory. Yes — the new system's data is yours (where SaaS, in your account; where on-prem / self-hosted, hosted in your Azure or AWS). Attaché stays installed read-only for one financial year as audit safety — you keep it running long enough that any auditor question gets answered from the source. After that, exported archives are kept indefinitely. Migration scripts and reconciliation reports live in your GitHub from day one.
